Accelerator for Commercialization Excellence (ACE)

Founded in 2008, the Accelerator for Commercialization Excellence (ACE), is a unique partnership between Ontario Centres of Excellence (OCE), the University of Waterloo (UW), and Waterloo’s Accelerator Centre. ACE breaks down marketplace barriers for entrepreneurs and start ups, giving them one source and one point of con-tact for expertise, services and support spanning the commercialization process.

C4

C4 fosters innovation in Southwest Ontario by promoting technology transfer and commercialization. Comprised of ten universities and research institutions, C4 members coordinate their resources, cooperate with governmental and industrial bodies, collaborate in multi-disciplinary research to solve real world problems, and commercialize the results of their research.

The Accelerator Centre

The Accelerator Centre strives to be a world-renowned centre for the cultivation of technological entrepreneurship. The Accelerator Centre was established by universities, governments and other community partners and contributors to: accelerate the creation, growth, and maturation of sustainable new technology and companies; promote commercialization of research and technology from and to academic institutions; and provide demonstrable economic benefit to the Waterloo-South Wellington area as a strategic economy within Ontario and Canada.
